Leipzig. PRISMA launches a pilot phase during which basic services are offered to storage operators (SSOs) to market their capacity and collect bids via the PRISMA platform. The SSOs astora GmbH & Co. KG, EWE GASSPEICHER GmbH and OMV Gas Storage GmbH have already signed up for the service and will market their capacities as of the first quarter of 2017 via the PRISMA platform.

During this pilot phase, which will run until Q1 2018, PRISMA and its shareholders will conduct a consultation to investigate potential interest of SSOs in this service and to better understand the needs of the storage market and its stakeholders regarding infrastructure-related services.

Sebastian Rosa, Sales Manager at astora: ”By using the PRISMA Platform we can extend the reach of our products to a much wider range of potential customers.

André Janssen, Head of Storage Marketing at EWE GASSPEICHER: ”As all storage users are already active on PRISMA, it is a great opportunity to book both transport and storage capacity on the same platform.

Harald Grabner, Department Manager Sales at OMV Gas Storage highlights: ”We are really looking forward to use PRISMA as one of our marketing channels, giving our customers the possibility to buy storage capacities on the leading and best known transmission capacity platform in the European gas business.
