Crafting a resume that grabs attention and lands interviews isn’t just about listing your experience. It’s about presenting your skills, accomplishments, and unique value in the most effective way possible. PRISMA's hiring managers tell you how to do it:
Mention relevant industries, technologies, or achievements that match the position. Let the reader understand in five seconds what you are good at. If it's hidden in the middle of the page, the recruiter might miss it.
Hiring teams scan many resumes, often quickly. Make yours easy to navigate by using consistent formatting, bullet points, and clear headings.
Stick to one or two pages
Use a professional, readable font
Keep your layout simple and well-structured
A focused, well-organized resume is more effective than one overloaded with information.
Instead of “Python, Docker, Git,” try something like: “Developed and maintained a containerized microservice in Python, improving deployment speed and scalability.” This gives hiring managers a concrete sense of your capabilities.
Many companies use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to filter resumes. To help yours get through, include relevant keywords from the job description. Use the same language where appropriate, especially for technical skills and tools.
But be careful not to overdo it — readability still matters. Your resume should speak to both machines and humans.
If you’re a software engineer interested in working on modern architectures, collaborative product development, and the digital future of the European energy market, we’d love to hear from you.
