DESFA joins the PRISMA platform
PRISMA announces that the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA S.A.) joins our platform.
Leipzig, 10th September, 2020 - Prisma European Capacity Platform GmbH is happy to announce DESFA as a new operator on our platform.
DESFA acts as an important bridge between the Balkans and the rest of Southern Europe. By coming together in a single platform under common standards and harmonious procedures, DESFA contributes to the continuous integration of the European Gas Market.

Nicola Battilana, DESFA CEO, stated: “DESFA already plays an important role in the Balkan region energy market and, by joining PRISMA, is aiming to further enhance this role, by linking the Greek and the regional gas markets with liquid markets of the Central and West European countries”.
From now on, interested shippers can request assignments to trade with DESFA on the PRISMA platform. DESFA intends to market its first products in the last quarter of 2020.

The Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) S.A. is the company responsible for the operation, management, utilization and development of the Greek Natural Gas Transmission System and the Revithoussa LNG terminal. DESFA was established in March 2007 and currently is owned by SΝAM, Fluxys, Enagas, DAMCO and the Greek State. DESFA is delivering gas to the Greek natural gas market and, through its transmission system’s interconnections, to the eastern Balkans, providing, also, Third Party Access (TPA) to its infrastructure, in accordance with the provisions of the EU regulations.
