July kicks off the Yearly Auctions on PRISMA - and we’re here to help you prepare.
From upgraded Long-Term Comfort Bids to expanded Shipper API capabilities, our latest updates are designed to improve transparency and your overall auction experience.
Read on for the details on how to make the most of these improvements.
Kind Regards,
The PRISMA Team
On July 7, the Yearly Auctions will start on PRISMA. To ensure you’re ready to successfully take part in them, we want to remind you to check a number of details:
Access your account before the bidding day to ensure that there's nothing wrong with your credentials and Hardware or Mobile Token
Ensure that your Assignments to the TSOs with which you wish to trade are approved
Ensure that you have sufficient credit with your assigned TSOs
Be advised that we are running Incremental Capacity Auctions
Set your Favorite Network Points in advance, so you can find your auctions more easily
Don't forget that you can set up your bids in advance by creating Bidding Plans (long-term comfort bids)
If applicable, contact the relevant Operator to determine whether you have the correct Balancing Groups (Germany, Austria, Slovenia) and/or Portfolio Codes (Netherlands). You can check this by clicking on "Operators" on the main page and then click on the tile of the relevant TSO.
Check both the DESFA bFZK calendar and the ENTSOG auction calendar regularly, as the DESFA calendar (detailing conditional booked capacities) may differ from the ENTSOG calendar:
We’ve reworked the Bidding Plan Feature (formerly known as Comfort Bid/ Future Bid) to make your long-term auction experience smoother, clearer, and more user-friendly.
What’s new?
A consistent layout across all auction stages — published, open, closed
Clear visibility of the current round number on the Waiting for Next Round page
A simplified Past Bids section showing only your most recent bid
An improved bidding graph, with room to explore marketable capacity, price steps, and more
Support for upcoming Market Transition Price requirements via a new price/unit field on the Auction Details page
Reminder: The Bidding Plan is a collection of bid requests. If sufficient credit limit is available, your bid requests are turned into bids. You can place them even before the auction opens - meaning you don’t need to be online during the actual rounds.
This is especially helpful for auctions with multiple rounds over several days - Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly auctions.
A big thank you to all Shippers who contributed their feedback during the prototype phase - you helped us shape this update.
How to Create and Edit a Bidding Plan for Long-Term Auctions?
We’re expanding the Shipper API (auction endpoint) to provide more transparency and efficiency. Here are our recent developments:
New auction timing fields
Access precise timestamps for when an auction was published, started, and closed.
Additional details for Ascending Clock Auctions
View round numbers, total requested capacity per round, and bidding round surcharges.
New endpoint for Live Bids
Instead of checking each auction individually, shippers can now retrieve all their current live bids with a single request.
These improvements will take effect on June 23.
