Prisma congratulates Gaetano Mazzitelli and Catherine Brun on their reappointment to the Shareholder’s Chairmanship

PRISMA shareholder’s board appointed Gaetano Mazzitelli and Catherine Brun to an additional term as chairman and vice-chairman, respectively.

Brussels, 27th March 2019 – Late today, PRISMA shareholder’s board appointed Gaetano Mazzitelli and Catherine Brun to an additional term as chairman and vice-chairman, respectively.

During these years of transformation, there have been no better people than Gaetano and Catherine to endorse PRISMA’s vision of an increasingly integrated European gas market,” said Götz Lincke, managing director of PRISMA.

The reappointment of Mazzitelli and Brun to the chairmanship goes into effect immediately and follows the unanimous decision of the entire Board to continue along the path of success lain out under their leadership.

Gaetano Mazzitelli, Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Snam S.p.A. since December 2011, first held the position of PRISMA’s shareholder’s Chairman in 2017. He said: “Safety, quality, and innovation are the key success factors of PRISMA, and have contributed to making it a unique and competitive model within the sector. PRISMA is going the extra mile to make a fair gas market a reality, and I’m honoured to take this challenge on again!”

Catherine Brun, Vice President of Strategy and Public Affairs at GRTgaz S.A., who has been appointed for another two-years as vice-chairman, declared “PRISMA is in a strong position to shape the future of the natural gas market and deliver innovative solutions for TSOs, SSOs and shippers. I look forward to contributing to their success”.

Gaetano Mazzitelli
Gaetano Mazzitelli is Executive Vice President for Regulatory Affairs at Snam. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, he also achieved a Master on Business for Energy and environment at the Eni School for higher studies “Enrico Mattei”. He began his career in Snam in 1995 playing roles with increasing responsibility in strategic planning, business development and regulatory affairs. He is Board Director in TAG GmbH, in Interconnector UK Ltd. He is member of the Board of ENTSOG, of GIE and GSE and Executive Member of the Board of Directors in Anigas as well as in the Comitato Tecnico Energia of Confindustria.

Catherine Brun
Catherine Brun is Vice President of Stratgy and Public Affairs at GRTgaz S.A. A graduate in statistics and economics in Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique, she began her career in GDFSuez, taking different responsibilities in strategic, marketing and business development positions as well as being CIO for Exploration and Production and LNG Business Units in ENGIE. She joined GRTgaz in 2014, focussing on Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Renewable Gas.
