Our Benefits: What You Actually Get, Working at PRISMA
Our Benefits: From Child Bonding Leave to working abroad — see exactly what PRISMA offers, not just the buzzwords job ads usually promise.
We believe the strength of PRISMA lies in our people: their growth, their well-being, and the different lives they're each building outside of work. So instead of a one-size-fits-all package, here's what we actually offer, and why.
Work from wherever, within reason
Most of us work Hybrid (splitting time between our Leipzig office and wherever suits you), some fully from home. Either way, your place of residence needs to be in Germany. That's not us being precious about it, it's what German labor and social security law requires.
What you can do, though, is take that flexibility abroad temporarily. Want to visit family back home without burning all your vacation days on it, or spend a few weeks working from somewhere else in Europe? Our workation policy lets you work from anywhere in Europe, or from your home country if that's outside Europe, for roughly six months a year with the tax and legal side handled for you.
The everyday stuff
A fully equipped desk if you're in the office, or a budget toward your home setup if you're not. You need some tools, AI or not? Let’s have a look at it together. Chances are, PRISMA will provide it. Also you get access to our gym and a weekly outdoor bootcamp, plus a free year of the meditation app 7Minds. A monthly Bonusly allowance of €80 to recognize colleagues for great work, with something more tangible than a thank-you message. And because we like each other outside of work too: joint lunches, a Christmas Party, and company-wide offsites.
Growing on your own terms
Growth here isn't handed down from above. We run structured development programs and training, but there's also Open Space: every other Wednesday, right after our company-wide "Heartbeat" All Hands, anyone can pitch a session on whatever they want to explore, teach, or dig into — no slides required.
The format follows Open Space Technology, an established method for self-organized meetings, including its one rule: if a session isn't for you, you're free to just walk out.
It's called the Law of Two Feet, and nobody takes it personally. On top of that, we offer German and English language courses, because working in your second (or third, or fourth) language shouldn't be a barrier to learning.
Getting to the office, sustainably
After your probation period, you get to pick your own way of commuting: a company bike (JobRad) with a generous monthly budget over a 3-year lease, a Leipzig public transport ticket (either the local LVB Zone 110 pass or the nationwide Deutschlandticket), or a BahnCard 50 First Class if you're travelling in from further out.
Time that's actually yours
Beyond standard vacation, we recognize the moments that deserve a day off: your wedding, the birth of a child, a 10-year anniversary with PRISMA, or the loss of a close family member. You also get one paid day a year for voluntary work that matters to you.
Want a working pattern that isn't just "full-time or bust"? Beyond regular part-time, we offer models like a paid sabbatical you gradually build up over time. Talk to us about what fits your life. Chances are, we've built something like it before.
Family support, however yours looks
Germany already provides strong legal protections for new parents: maternity protection and parental leave apply regardless of where you work. On top of that, PRISMA adds its own Child Bonding Leave: two weeks of paid leave, to be taken within the first two months after your child arrives.
"Family" is a broad and inclusive term at PRISMA: this applies whether you gave birth, whether you're the primary caretaker alongside your partner, or whether you became a parent through adoption or legal guardianship, regardless of your sexual orientation or marital status.
Beyond that, you get 10 paid child sick days per child, per year — double what's typically standard — so you're not choosing between a paycheck and being there when your kid is unwell. And once you're back to juggling work and daycare pickup, we help with the cost: PRISMA pays up to 100% of your Kita or Tagesmutter fees, depending on your situation.
Getting here, and settling in
Moving to Germany, or to Leipzig, for the job? We support your move with either a tax-free lump sum or up to €2,500 against your actual moving costs. If you're relocating from outside the EU, we help with visa support and the paperwork to convert it into a work permit once you're here. Either way, we'll help you get your bearings: opening a bank account, choosing public health insurance, registering with the city.
A few of these benefits depend on your contract type or tenure. Some aren't available to working students, interns, or during your probation period. Your recruiter can tell you exactly what applies to your specific role.
